Processing Time:
U.S. visitor visa processing times can vary depending on the embassy or consulate but generally take between 4 to 6 weeks.

Visa Validity:
The B1/B2 visa is typically valid for up to 10 years, allowing for multiple entries. However, the final decision on the length of stay is made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the port of entry.

Stay Period:
The maximum period of stay is usually up to 6 months per visit, subject to approval at the port of entry.

Application Processing Fee

  • Per person: 185 USD

Biometrics Fee

  • Fees for biometrics are generally included in the application fee, but the U.S. government may request them separately under certain conditions

Basic Requirements for a U.S. Visitor Visa (Tourism Purpose)

Documents Needed:

  1. DS-160 Form: Completed Non-immigrant Visa Application Form
  2. Passport: Valid passport with at least one blank page
  3. Visa Application Fee Payment Receipt
  4. Two Passport-Sized Photos: Taken within the last 6 months
  5. Proof of Funds: Financial statements showing the ability to cover trip expenses
  6. Travel Itinerary: Flight bookings and hotel reservations
  7. Invitation Letter (if applicable): From relatives or friends residing in the U.S.
  8. Proof of Ties to Home Country: Employment letter, property ownership, or family commitments that will ensure your return after the visit
  9. Current Immigration Status (if applicable): Any applicable study or work permits
  10. Additional Documents: Proof of prior travels, previous visas, or any other supporting documents as requested

Requirements for a U.S. Business Visa (B1)

If traveling for business purposes, you’ll need to provide:

  • Invitation Letter from a U.S. company outlining the purpose of your visit
  • Business Registration Documents
  • Contracts, Invoices, or Agreements between you and the U.S. company, if applicable.
  • Proof of Ongoing Business Activities: Shipping orders, contracts, and invoices

Requirements for a U.S. Visitor Visa for Family and Friends

When visiting family or friends, you may also need to submit:

  • Invitation Letter: From the host in the U.S., explaining the relationship and purpose of the visit
  • Proof of Host’s Immigration Status: Green card, visa, or U.S. passport copy
  • Financial Support Documents (if applicable): If your trip is financially supported by the host

Requirements for a U.S. Transit Visa (C1)

If you’re traveling through the U.S. on your way to another country, the U.S. Transit Visa is required. You’ll need to provide:

  • Valid Passport
  • DS-160 Form: Completed Non-immigrant Visa Application Form
  • Proof of Visa for Onward Destination
  • Flight Itinerary: Showing final destination
  • Proof of Funds: To cover expenses during the transit
